Controller

AVL Growth Partners is seeking a Controller to provide financial expertise and support to growing businesses. The Controller will manage and report on technical accounting systems, provide financial information, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting, with 8 years in accounting systems and policies, and 6 years at the Controller level. The position offers flexibility in hours worked and the option to work remotely.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of total financial / accounting / business experience
• 8 years of experience with accounting systems and accounting policies/procedures
• At least 6 years at the Controller level in a progressive accounting environment
• BA/BS in Accounting or Business degree with an emphasis in Accounting
• CPA (active or inactive)
• Outstanding communication and management skills
• Working knowledge of Quickbooks, Bill.com, and/or other ERP systems
• Demonstrated working knowledge of IT systems and tools to benefit accounting operations
