Head of Engineering

Axiom Custom Products is seeking a Head of Engineering to manage its design-engineering department, responsible for turning concepts into engineered assemblies. The role involves technical and managerial responsibilities, including resourcing, scheduling, and supporting engineers, overseeing quality and accuracy, and improving department processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field preferred
• 7+ years of hands-on SolidWorks experience with strong technical skills
• Proven experience leading a design-engineering team in a fast-paced, custom environment
• Strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes, finishes, and materials
• Confident leader with the ability to manage, mentor, and motivate a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once
• Clear communicator, able to explain technical information to non-technical people
