Job Description
Join AXIS Capital as a Legal Counsel - A&H, contributing to the collective success of the company by providing day-to-day legal advice on U.S. healthcare, regulatory, and compliance matters, while working with cross-functional partners across departments.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in legal or regulatory compliance
- J.D. from a U.S. law school and a member of good standing of at least one state's bar association
- Practical working knowledge of Accident & Health insurance compliance and regulatory requirements
- Familiarity with privacy and data security, including HIPAA, GDPR, state consumer privacy laws, and AI regulations
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to tackle a variety of legal issues with a proactive approach
- Proficient in legal research
- Excellent PC skills and knowledge of Microsoft product suite
