Job Description
The Welder/Fabricator 2 is responsible for the layout and fabrication of metal assemblies and weldments based off of the detailed shop drawings provided.
Requirements
- Layout and fabrication of metal assemblies and weldments
- Reading and interpreting sketches, diagrams, and blueprints
- Cutting and working material using various tools
- Performing welds using SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW processes
- Loading and unloading material from trucks to storage area and moving material within workspace
- Operating overhead crane and/or assisting with the rigging and moving of parts
- Maintaining necessary quality checks and record-keeping
