We are seeking a Fabricator to work on a wide range of projects, including the repair, maintenance and modification of the UK's fleet of submarines and warships. The role involves performing structural repairs to steel hulls and decks, fabricating and assembling plate and steelwork, and translating engineering documents into fabrication plans.
Requirements
- Proven experience in structural steel repair and fabrication
- Skilled in using fabrication tools and workshop machinery
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience in marine engineering or similar sectors (e.g. Royal Navy, RFA, commercial shipbuilding)
- Strong understanding of safety and quality standards in heavy engineering environments
- Indentured Apprenticeship or Level 2 qualification in fabrication, structural steel, or sheet metal work (Essential)
