Aircraft Maintenance Technician responsible for performing scheduled inspections, maintenance, and unscheduled rectification of Aircraft Equipment and associated components. Requires extensive practical maintenance experience and relevant type training.
Requirements
- National civilian/military equivalent recognised aircraft maintenance traineeship/apprenticeship
- Relevant type training ('Q' Course) and equipment specific training if required
- Extensive post qualification practical maintenance experience within operational flying aircraft environment supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training OR extensive experience on same aircraft type OR successful completion of BAESSA apprenticeship programme (SNTTP/ TSNTTP)
- Demonstrate knowledge / understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering
- Understanding and application of human factors, error management, health & safety and proactive hazard analysis, appropriate to the role
- Relevant equipment specific training
- Computer literate with a understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite
- Quality minded, mature, individual that adopts a positive and proactive approach to aircraft maintenance and support issues
- Sound oral and written two-way communication skills with the ability to be tactful, discreet and confident in dealing with people at all levels
- Ability to work in close harmony in a mixed EE/SN workforce
- Ability to work on their own initiative to resolve complex technical issues
