Job Description
The Sr. Estimating Manager is responsible for leading the estimating team and overseeing the preparation of accurate and competitive bids for electrical construction projects.
Requirements
- Lead the estimating team in the preparation of detailed cost estimates and bid proposals
- Develop and implement best practices for estimating processes, cost control, and pricing strategies
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and site conditions to determine project scope and requirements
- Work closely with preconstruction, project management, and business development teams
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Provide detailed risk assessments and cost analyses for project bids
- Oversee the development of conceptual and design-build estimates
- Ensure estimates are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with market conditions
- Maintain relationships with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors
- Train, mentor, and develop junior estimators and team members
