Project Engineer

Role Overview

The Project Engineer serves as a technical point of contact, ensuring that all engineering related activities within a project are executed according to standards, within budget, and on time. This role demands engineering prowess and project management skills to successfully lead and deliver projects across various sectors of the business.

What You Will Do

Assist in the development of cost estimates, review plans and other technical documents, monitor costs and project progress, and maintain control of all project documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering or related field of study or equivalent job history
• Strong communication skills
• Computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) and other applicable software programs
• Demonstrate flexibility and is adaptable to change
• General knowledge of office protocol, routines and procedures
• Ability to read and comprehend plans and specifications
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Able to accomplish tasks without direct oversight
• Previous experience in waste/water and railroad preferred
• Experience in TxDOT pay applications and tracking required
