Job Description
Banyan Software is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the modernization effort to transform their desktop application into a cloud-native, AI-enabled web platform. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of progressive software engineering experience, 3+ years in a senior technical leadership role, and strong hands-on experience with C# /.NET, Azure cloud architecture, React / TypeScript, and SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive software engineering experience
- 3+ years in a senior technical leadership role (Director, Principal, Manager, Staff+)
- Strong hands-on experience with C# /.NET, Azure cloud architecture, React / TypeScript, and SQL Server or PostgreSQL
- Experience modernizing or replatforming complex legacy systems
- Comfort working in AI-assisted development environments (e.g., Copilot, agent-based workflows, automated code generation, LLM-integrated tooling)
- Experience mentoring engineers and leading delivery execution
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
