Athletic Trainer I - Outreach

The Athletic Trainer I is responsible for the prevention, assessment, immediate management, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries and conditions. This position is also responsible for educating personnel on emergency preparedness, injury prevention, and best practices for the health, care, and well-being of student-athletes, spectators, and staff.

Requirements

• Follow all hospital and departmental precautions and procedures in the performance of job duties to ensure a safe work environment for self and others.
• Obtain equipment needed for quality patient care delivery at all work sites.
• Document, track, and report organizational and administrative data from assigned schools and/or sites.
• Communicate effectively and appropriately with all sports medicine team members, athletic health care team members, and Sports Medicine Outreach Leadership.
• Act as an ambassador for BHC, Andrews Institute, sports medicine outreach, and the athletic training profession at all times.
• Maintain current knowledge/certification/licensure and pursue professional growth and development.
