The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) plays a crucial role in providing emergency medical care and transportation to patients in need, requiring a high level of professionalism, compassion, and medical expertise.
Requirements
- Conduct thorough patient assessments
- Provide compassionate care and emotional support to patients and their families
- Monitor vital signs and adjust treatment interventions
- Lifting and moving of patients to and from stretchers
- Safely transport patients to medical facilities
- Communicate effectively with receiving medical personnel
- Maintain accurate and detailed records
- Complete patient care reports in a timely manner
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and agencies
- Ensure that all EMS equipment and supplies are properly stocked
- Perform routine checks and inspections of EMS vehicles
