Job Description
Barr is seeking a mechanical engineer to join their team in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The role involves managing and performing engineering tasks for gas and oil pipeline projects, including station upgrades, relocation and protection of existing pipelines, routing of proposed pipelines, pipe sizing, documents, and trenchless construction design.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or civil engineering
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred or ability and willingness to obtain
- Oil and gas industry engineering practices, including 49 CFR Parts 192 and 195, ASME codes, and API standards
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office suite
- Driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to work in locations with rough terrain and limited accessibility
