Barr is seeking a structural engineer to join their Hibbing team. The ideal candidate will support the structural engineering group by providing design and technical expertise for heavy industrial sites. They will work on multidisciplinary project teams, perform structural analysis, develop plans and specifications, create structural models, and support construction observation activities. The role is hybrid, with the possibility of short-term travel for field assignments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a structural emphasis
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification or ability to obtain within one year
- Experience with AutoCAD, Excel, Revit, STAAD Pro, Advanced Steel, RISA 3D, or MathCAD
- Driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to conduct fieldwork in varying outdoor conditions
- Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds
