Barr is seeking a senior water resources consultant with a focus on mine water management to join their team as a mine water practice lead. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, proven task or project management skills, and a willingness to work cooperatively with project team members in a high-energy environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in math, science, engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience developing water balance models, including spreadsheet-based and advanced simulation tools.
- Experience with design of surface water impoundments, such as process ponds, water supply dams, and reservoirs.
- Statistical analysis of hydrological data, including techniques such as cumulative frequency analysis.
- Experience advising clients on mine water management strategies and alternatives analysis and a track record of building and sustaining client relationships.
- Developed skills in probabilistic analysis or modeling, uncertainty analyses, and/or Monte Carlo analyses to inform and complete risk assessments.
- Software: experience working with hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality methods and modeling tools.
- Driver's license: possession of a current, valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship from Barr, now or in the future.
