Cortez - Site Services Technician

Nevada Gold Mines is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping mining facilities functioning and in good order. Work includes outdoor, mine setting, which may include exposure to large equipment, working on uneven surfaces, working in extreme temperatures. A successful candidate must demonstrate safety as a priority.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Excavation equipment experience preferred
• 2 years previous construction and maintenance experience is preferred
• Valid drivers’ license is required
• 4 years Mining experience is preferred
• Overhead door repair experience preferred
• Ability to lift and carry at least 90 pounds required
• Perform job responsibilities with integrity under minimal to no supervision required
• Proven attention to detail with a high level of accuracy required
• Excellent organizational, time management skills required
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently required
• Demonstrated well-developed interpersonal skills, with a courteous and pleasant customer service focus required
• Excellent verbal, written, and radio communication skills required
• Capability to multi-task, self-manage and self-motivate required
• Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards required
• Willingness to work weekends and possible overtime required
• Willingness to work in inclement weather conditions required
