Job Description
Barrick Gold is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to maintain and repair electrical infrastructure within their Hemlo Mine site in Northwestern Ontario. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant electrical systems critical to production and maintenance. The company prioritizes safety, training, and growth for its employees.
Requirements
- Valid Electrical License in Ontario
- Experience with 13.8 kV, 4160V, 600V systems (installation/repair)
- Experience working in Mine hoisting Plants & other equipment
- Strong understanding of high-voltage industrial systems
- Ability to read/interpret electrical drawings/schematics
- Familiarity with SAP maintenance work orders
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Physical capability for all environments, including heights and lifting
