Battle Ground Academy seeks an Assistant Director of College Counseling to join our team. The Assistant Director is responsible for counseling Upper School students regarding college opportunities and coordinating assistance during the application process.
Requirements
- Counsels students and their families regarding college search, application, and admission procedures
- Coordinates accurate records of student testing and academic work
- Composes thoughtful, compelling, and data-informed letters of recommendation
- Facilitates timely completion of faculty recommendations and reports
- Develops reports for administrators and Board of Directors
- Represents the school at conferences and workshops
- Maintains an informative and welcoming college center
- Monitors students’ application progress and maintains records
- Upholds values and policies as identified by the NACAC Guide to Ethical Practice in College Admission
- Compiles and maintains scholarship resources
- Assists with the administration of standardized exams
- Manages college book award program
- Teaches classes as needed
- Embraces working with students from diverse populations
