Manager, Production

Accountable for managing plant production activities to ensure the production of products meet established quality, customer service, safety, innovation and cost metrics consistent with schedules and policies.

Requirements

• Lead the production operations to maximize plant effectiveness and efficiency
• Cross trained in the operation of other departments to provide additional resources as needed to accomplish plant goals
• Implement, monitor, and manage standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, quality specifications, safety standards and sanitation practices
• Assist with capital project planning and execution
• Assist in the controlling of costs of production, quality, and sanitation, and maintenance
• Assist in production scheduling and monitoring of production volumes versus plan
• Motivate and enhance skills of team members in all areas
• Co‐lead Continuous Improvement initiatives in the plant
• Analyze operations at the floor level to identify areas of improvement and develop processes to positively impact operations capabilities
• Act as member of plant leadership team and actively communicate all relevant issues to the Plant Manager
• Lead and partner with other plant leaders in the areas of employee attraction, training, monitoring, attendance, discipline, hiring/conversion, time card review, communication
• Lead teams by empowering others, setting clear and attainable goals, and instilling accountability
• Use KPI’s to monitor production performance
