Postdoc Research Associate (Chemical Biology / Chemoproteomics)

The Wright Group in the Departments of Biology and Chemistry & Biochemistry at Baylor University is seeking multiple postdoctoral research associates with expertise in chemical biology and/or chemoproteomics. The position will primarily support research to develop and apply chemical probes for the selective isolation of pathogens from oral microbiomes.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in chemical biology, organic chemistry, or a related field
• Background in chemical biology, with priority given to candidates with expertise in synthesizing and using chemical probes or protein-targeting small molecules
• Ability to independently design and execute experiments
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: application of chemical molecules/tools to biological systems, cell sorting, pathogen biology, proteomics, chemical synthesis, microbiology, protein expression, cell culture, cell biology, molecular biology, and/or functional assays
