Baylor University's Texas Collection and University Archives are seeking a student worker to assist with various projects related to archival collections, rare books, maps, or photographs. The position involves inventorying, processing, preserving, and building finding aids, alongside assisting researchers and patrons with scanning. This is a part-time, minimum 10-hour per week position with a pay rate of $10 per hour for undergraduates.
Requirements
- Inventorying, processing, and preserving archival collections and building finding aids.
- Working on special projects related to manuscript, map, photo, and rare book collections.
- Monitoring researchers in the Guy B. Harrison, Jr. Reading Room and assisting patrons with scanning.
- Assisting with special projects and duties as assigned.
- Communicating with other Baylor Libraries student workers and participating in professional development activities.
- Ability to lift boxes and other heavy materials.
- Prioritize and take initiative.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
