DevOps Engineer

BBR Partners is a boutique wealth management firm seeking a DevOps Engineer to play a key role in its IT department. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and enjoy contributing to a small-firm environment.

Requirements

• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Build and maintain standardized, hardened machine images using HashiCorp Packer
• Implement network segmentation, private endpoints, and secrets management
• Own architecture and standards for CI/CD pipelines
• Enable development teams through reusable templates, modules, and golden pipelines
• Own and enforce version control best practices
• Automate change management controls through CI/CD workflows
• Build and optimize containerized workloads (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Embed security-by-design principles into all layers of the platform
• Implement guardrails, policy-as-code, and automated evidence collection
• Deploy and maintain observability stacks
• Define SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets
• Lead incident response and postmortems
• Own platform infrastructure for data pipelines
• Support the enforcement of data quality and lineage
• Protection of PII through encryption and masking
• Enable engineering teams to self-service with platform tooling
• Promote cloud-native architecture, reliable delivery patterns, and cost-conscious design
