Software Engineer III - Java Developer

Role Overview

Deliver technically complex solutions, perform system integration support, and consult with business product owners to understand end goals and offer solutions and recommendations during design.

What You Will Do

Support on-premises vendor developed/supported applications, software integration, analysis, configuration, and maintenance. Participate in testing, implementation, and escalated support of complex solutions. Lead and participate in applying vendor upgrades/patches, server/DB upgrades, and security remediations.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Requires 6-10 years of experience with Java, WebSphere, MQ, AIX, and production support. Ability to plan and manage projects, solve complex problems, and provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and six to ten years of experience or equivalent education and software engineering training or experience
• In-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement best practices
• Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function
• Ability to plan and manage projects and solve complex problems by applying best practices
• Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates
