Job Description
Availity is seeking a Software Engineer III to join its Essentials Platform team, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining backend services and shared libraries primarily in Java. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, strong hands-on experience with Java, and a solid understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems concepts.
Requirements
- Bachelorâs degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong, hands-on experience with Java
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems concepts
- Experience building and running applications in the cloud (AWS preferred)
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing strategies, source control, and trunk-based development
