Engine Room Assistant

We are seeking a self-starter and a positive team player who provides essential vessel safety and operational expertise. The Engine Room Assistant is responsible for monitoring machinery, performing general housekeeping, assisting with maintenance work, and performing daily work routines.

Requirements

• Marine Emergency duties training – STCW Basic Safety (MED A1 and MED B2) and Proficiency in Survival Craft (MED B1)
• Transport Canada Engine Room Rating certificate or a mechanical background with formal training
• Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a safe and timely manner
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with mechanical, electrical, and propulsion systems
