Job Description
We are seeking an Investment Director to drive the buying and selling of fixed income and bank-eligible securities for community banks. The successful candidate will provide strategic insights, execute bond swaps, and deliver high-impact recommendations, while also spearheading marketing efforts and managing municipal inventories.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field; MBA preferred
- 5+ years’ experience working in a bank, trust company, registered investment advisor, or accounting firm
- FINRA Series 52, required or willing to obtain within 3 months of hire; Series 65, preferred
- Experience with FIS, BondEdge, and/or Bloomberg preferred, but not required
- Investment advisory experience with fee-based consulting, preferred
- Understanding of fixed income investments including Government Agency, US Treasury, mortgage-backed, asset-backed, corporate and municipal bonds
- Excellent verbal/written communication, math, and presentation skills
- Previous ALCO experience within a financial services firm, preferred
- Professional financial designation such as CPA, CFA, and/or CTFA
