Job Description
BD is one of the largest global medical technology companies, and the Sr. Buyer is responsible for negotiating procurement of commodities and/or services, investigating and proposing supplier solutions, and maintaining information in the MRP system.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply Chain, Business, communications or related field PLUS 4 yrs of buying experience in a manufacturing industry.
- OR High School Diploma / GED PLUS 5-7 yrs of buyer experience in a manufacturing industry.
- Experience with MRP (Materials Requirements Planning) and supply chain management software and tools.
- Demonstrated ability to use logic and problem-solving skills to independently isolate and find opportunities in reporting/analysis
- Excellent communication skills; ability to work across a variety of departments and external suppliers.
- Self-starter, organized, and motivated teammate
- Confirmed analysis and presentation skills with common tools such as MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
