The Interim Technical Accounting Consultant provides contract technical accounting advisory services, ensuring accurate and timely resolution of complex accounting issues during periods of transition or increased demand.
Requirements
- Researches and interprets complex accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP, IFRS)
- Prepares technical accounting memos and documentation
- Advises clients on the implementation of new accounting guidance
- Coordinates with client finance and audit teams to resolve technical accounting issues
- Reviews and analyzes financial statements for compliance with relevant standards
- Supports internal and external audits related to technical accounting matters
- Implements process improvements to enhance technical accounting efficiency
- Maintains confidentiality and security of client information
- Supports transition and training for incoming technical accounting leadership
- Other duties as required
