Tax Managing Director, State and Local Tax - Sales & Use Tax

The Tax Managing Director, SALT - Sales & Use Tax, is responsible for advising clients on sales and use tax implications and performing research, developing tax strategies, ensuring compliance, and representing clients before tax authorities. This role involves working with various state and local tax authorities, supporting sales & use tax return filings, developing solutions for clients, and providing consulting services. The role will be part of the Office’s Tax Services leadership team and contribute to the strategic direction of the firm.

Requirements

• Researching complex sales & use tax situations.
• Evaluating company’s current compliance processes.
• Drafting tax memorandums and tax opinions.
• Developing strategic solutions for sales & use tax strategies.
• Supervising STS employees and developing performance goals.
• Participating in sales & use tax industry conferences.
