Job Description
The Core Tax Services Senior Manager is responsible for advising clients on tax implications, evaluating and selecting alternative actions to lessen tax burden, and identifying different methods of complying with tax regulations. In this role, the Senior Manager will apply knowledge to understand potential tax issues, recognize and communicate potential risks, and make top-level decisions regarding filing, preparation, and resolution of questions from federal/state agencies. The Senior Manager will also be a critical member of the office/region leadership team and actively participate in marketing, networking, and business development within an area of expertise and specialization.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics
- 8 or more years of prior relevant tax experience
- CPA certification, Attorney, or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (or equivalent) required
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively delegate work as needed
- Strong analytical, research and critical thinking skills
- Capacity to work well in a team environment
