A Tax Senior Manager, State and Local Tax is responsible for advising clients on tax implications, recommending alternate courses of action, and identifying different methods of complying with tax regulations. The role involves marketing, networking, and business development, as well as providing SALT expertise to clients.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or other relevant field
- Eight + years of prior experience in state and local/multistate experience
- Prior experience supervising tax professionals on a project or engagement basis
- Prior experience preparing and/or reviewing tax provisions
- Prior experience with corporate taxation, consolidations and partnerships
- CPA certification or other relevant certification
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word
- Exposure to and familiarity with standard tax applications and research tools
