Piping Superintendent

Bechtel is seeking a Piping Superintendent to monitor and organize subcontractor activities on a complex project in New Albany, Ohio. The role requires 8-10 years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree. The job involves coordinating subcontractor construction schedules, resource charts, and material and equipment requirements, as well as ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Requirements

• Monitors and organizes subcontractor activities, through coordination and instruction of subcontractor’s management staff within the area of responsibility.
• Supports on mid-size projects of medium to high complexity with multiple stakeholders’ involvement.
• Planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on a complex project with multiple stakeholders’ involvement, through the coordination and instruction of subcontractor’s management staff.
• Monitors subcontractor construction schedules, resource charts, and material and equipment requirements.
• Reviews subcontractor construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements.
• Coordinates the construction operations impact on external interfaces to ensure they coincide with the overall established schedules.
• Enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction management.
• Monitors installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor, and other requirements
• Supports Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents
• Coordinates engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals.
• Coordinates with Design on constructability issues.
