Job Description
Bed-Stuy New Beginnings Charter School is seeking a dynamic and creative Math Teacher to join their school in Brooklyn, NY. The school is dedicated to providing a rigorous and collaborative learning environment, focused on 21st century skills and promoting student growth and development. The Math Teacher will develop student understanding of math concepts and tailor lessons to individual student needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Education or equivalent (Master's degree preferred)
- Experience teaching in an urban School district or Charter School
- Valid NYSED teacher's certificate with grade specific endorsement(s)
- Dual Special Education certification (7-12, 5-9, Multi Subject or K-12)
- Computer skills: general knowledge of computer usage and ability to use e-mail, internet, word processing software, and spreadsheets including, but not limited to Google Suite applications, Microsoft Office Suite applications and Apple MacBook iOs.
- Strong knowledge of child development at each level of instruction and the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of students.
