Senior Scientist, Bioinformatics

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Bioinformatics Scientist to join our Translational Discovery, Research, and Medicine team in San Carlos, California. This individual will play a key role in enhancing our bioinformatics capabilities in the United States to support clinical biomarker analysis and translational research.

Requirements

• Lead bioinformatics scientist of the internal drug discovery and development programs
• Provide comprehensive support for new target exploration and validation, Omics-related experiment design and analysis, clinical biomarker testing platform and vendor selection, and clinical biomarker analysis with interpretation
• Design, develop, and deploy robust bioinformatics workflows and interactive tools to analyze high-dimensional Omics data
• Collaborate with the IT team to build and maintain the bioinformatics computing and analysis infrastructure
• Mine proprietary and public biological and biomedical data to generate novel hypotheses or insights, and propose the follow-up validation plans
• Present analytical results in a clear and concise manner, utilizing well-designed presentation materials
