Job Description
A Senior R&D Chemist is responsible for formulating personal care products, cosmetics, and OTC products based on customer requests. They develop products with strong leadership and communication skills, and contribute to scaling up formulations, troubleshooting issues, and conducting research. The role requires detailed knowledge of regulatory compliance and product development standards.
Requirements
- Initiate project concepts and follow through with multiple projects.
- Investigate and resolve research problems and scale up issues.
- Comply with FDA regulations and cGMPs.
- Write and check ingredient lists, QQs, and artwork.
- Test product and monitor testing statuses.
- Research new raw materials and formulate new products.
- Provide paperwork for new formulas and raw materials.
- Supervise and coordinate pilot batches.
- Train lab staff (permanent and temporary).
