Certified Medication Aide

The Certified Medication Aide is responsible for administering routine medications to residents/patients, adhering to facility procedures and HIPAA guidelines. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, accurate medication administration, and maintaining patient confidentiality. Staff are required to submit and be cleared to work in the facility prior to contact with patients/residents.

Requirements

• Graduate of a CMA program
• Valid CMA certification
• Valid CPR certification
• Six months experience in a long-term care environment (preferred)
• Knowledge of medical and pharmacological terminology
