High School ELA Special Education Teacher

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Special Education ELA teacher to join our team at BelovED Community Charter School in Jersey City, New Jersey. As a Special Education department, we aim to create a teaching team characterized by collaboration, trust, transparency, mutual respect, and joint commitment to academic excellence and student well-being.

Requirements

• Hold a New Jersey Department of Education CE, Limited CE, CEAS or Standard Certificate in Special Education (TOH or TOSD)
• Dual-Certification in content area is preferred and may be required
• Commit to the School's values and mission
• Hold high expectations for each student and commit themselves to helping every student achieve their full potential
• Plan and deliver vibrant and engaging lessons within the framework of the School's carefully sequenced, standards-aligned education program
• Communicate and model behaviors which befit the high expectations culture and the caring school climate
• Collaborate with the school's special education and ELL staff to implement the school's special education and ELL programs and to comply with all state and federal regulations
