Job Description
Contribute on projects from the preliminary stage through startup as an Electrical Designer. Create or modify drawings, perform field work, and coordinate with other disciplines to produce projects with the lowest total installed cost.
Requirements
- 2D AutoCAD skills with electrical power and instrumentation equipment
- Experience in electrical single line diagrams, symbols, and labelling
- Instrumentation hookups, wiring callouts, labelling, and loop sheets
- Power MCCs and Distribution panel designs, their features, breaker specifications
- Motor hardwired control systems & VFD design and use in motor controls
- Heavy industry electrical power and control systems design, specifications, and layouts
- Knowledge of NEC rules, regulations, etc
- Knowledge of hazardous areas and general classifications per NEC Article 500
- Knowledge of NEC 70E Safety Code concerning arc flash and equipment spacing requirements
- Experience in local power distribution / Operator control panels and DCS/ PLC Remote IO cabinets
