As a Growth Manager Subscription & Conversion, you will play a central role in building a modern, data-driven subscription business across all titles. You will define how a modern news funnel should work today: from first use to loyal subscription.
Requirements
- Concept and setup of our end-to-end subscriber funnel: Traffic → Engagement → Registration → Paywall → Subscription → Retention
- Definition and implementation of central KPIs, tracking, and data structures from the beginning
- Development of our paywall and offer logic (metering, pricing, bundles, trials) – without existing restrictions
- Setup of a systematic experimentation setup (A/B testing, hypothesis-driven work)
- Development of mechanisms to increase usage depth and reader loyalty (e.g. newsletter, personalization, habit products)
- Identification and prioritization of the greatest growth levers along the entire journey
- Close cooperation with editorial, product, marketing, and tech to consistently align content, distribution, and product with growth
- Setup of a modern, data-driven decision logic – instead of gut feeling and historically grown processes
- Experience in growth, subscription business, performance marketing, or product development
- Strong understanding of conversion funnels with a focus on engagement, registration, and retention
- Experience in building or scaling data-driven growth systems
- Safe handling of analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel)
- Understanding of digital business models, paywalls, and pricing strategies
- Ability to analyze complex user behavior and translate it into clear actions
- Hands-on mentality and joy in building things from scratch
- Ideally, knowledge of tracking, SQL, or experimentation frameworks
