Job Description
This role focuses on maintaining contact with affordable housing clients, understanding their businesses, and addressing issues before partner reviews. The position involves reviewing engagements, managing client relationships, and overseeing audit work. It's a hands-on role requiring communication, problem-solving, and organization skills.
Requirements
- CPA certification
- Bachelor's and/or advanced degree in accounting
- Experience with HUD and Section 8 rental assistance programs
- Experience in rural development, 538 Insured mortgages and 515 loans with rental assistance
- LIHTC knowledge
- Bond-financed affordable housing deals
- Experience with cost certifications (preferred)
- 7-10 years of experience in a CPA firm (or equivalent experience)
- Membership in AICPA (as applicable)
- Proficiency in computers, accounting software, and audit software programs
- Completion of career development CPE requirements
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Initiative, creativity, and imagination
- Valid driver's license and good Motor Vehicle Record
- Willingness to travel
