This internship provides hands-on experience in environmental science and consulting, with opportunities to work on site investigation and remediation projects in New England. As an Environmental Science Intern, you will assist with field sampling, data collection, and technical documentation, while gaining insight into environmental regulations and real-world problem-solving.
Requirements
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in environmental engineering, environmental science, geology or related field
- Understanding of general environmental assessment and response actions
- Proficient in the use of current technology (i.e., tablets, smart phones, laptops, etc.)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong technical aptitude with an eagerness to learn
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Must be able to conduct environmental field investigations, including collecting soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, and air samples
- Must be able to perform field work in both hot and cold weather (rain and/or snow)
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
