Job Description
BETA is seeking an experienced Senior Traffic Engineer to lead technical design, project development, contract preparation, and client management in their Norwood, MA office. The role involves conducting traffic analysis, creating traffic plans, mentoring staff, managing projects, and applying modern traffic technologies to improve transportation systems. The company is focused on innovation and emphasizes impactful projects within a dynamic team environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- 10+ years of related engineering experience in traffic and transportation projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
- Demonstrated strong background in traffic and transportation engineering
- Proficiency in Synchro/SimTraffic
- Experience working with AutoCAD Civil3D and Microstation OpenRoads
- Knowledge of MUTCD, AASHTO and RIDOT/MASSDOT/CTDOT design policy guidelines and requirements
- Proficiency with traffic analysis and modeling
- Proficiency with traffic signal design
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
