Senior Software Engineer (Backend) - Sportsbet, Hybrid

Betfair Romania Development is the largest technology hub of Flutter Entertainment, with over 2,000 people powering the world’s leading sports betting and iGaming brands. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) with good technical and problem-solving skills, a positive and results-driven attitude, and a strong communicator who can interact with both technical and non-technical people.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience as a Java programmer
• An understanding of Event-driven, messaging-based systems
• Messaging brokering technologies (experience in RabbitMQ and/or Kafka)
• Storage technologies (SQL and/or NoSQL)
• Experience with Cloud infrastructure
• Test-driven development techniques (e.g. BDD and ATDD)
• Automated testing and mocking techniques
• Clean coding
• Agile and Lean approaches
