Job Description
The Medical Assistant / Medical Secretary provides direct patient care and supports administrative and clinical practice operations in a team-based model at Beth Israel Lahey Health Primary Care-Mt. Auburn. They develop long-term empathetic relationships with patients, families, and colleagues to contribute to patient care. The role involves performing medical assisting duties, leading conversations to meet quality and population health goals, and monitoring practice activity. The Medical Assistant / Medical Secretary works within the electronic health record system to queue prescription renewals, add new medications, and enter/scribe orders for tests, services, or appointments.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- License Medical Assistant Certificate or Registration Certified Nursing Assistant or Certificate 1 EMT Basic License or Certificate 2 Phlebotomy Certificate
- 0-1 years related work experience
- Demonstrated Medical Assistant (MA) competencies within one year of hire
