Job Description
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for journal entry processing, account analysis, statement preparation, review of budget variances and assisting with audit follow up for BILH entities.
Requirements
- Prepares entities' financial statements on a monthly basis
- Prepares journal entries and accruals to make the entities' General Ledger reflect annual operations in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Assists with the preparation of support schedules used by external auditors
- Investigates variances from budget on assigned operating accounts
- Reviews vendor invoice coding and makes necessary accounting adjustments to ensure correct posting of expenses
- Prepares analysis for departmental requests on an as needed basis
- Assists with the preparation of supporting schedules utilized by the tax department
