IT Systems Engineer

Betterment is seeking a mid-level IT Systems Engineer to operate, improve, and support core IT systems. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently on scoped problems and is growing toward senior-level systems ownership. This role is based out of our NYC office.

Requirements

• Operating and improving core IT systems
• Supporting SaaS platforms such as Google Workspace, Okta, Slack, Zoom, and Jamf
• Executing user lifecycle processes
• Maintaining system configurations and access models
• Monitoring system health and proactively addressing operational issues
• Implementing access changes and integrations
• Participating in periodic access reviews and remediation efforts
• Automating repeatable IT tasks using scripting tools
• Improving existing onboarding, offboarding, and support workflows
• Contribute to documentation and runbooks for IT systems and operational procedures
• Supporting macOS endpoint management
• Executing MDM policies and OS updates
• Troubleshooting endpoint issues
