Sr. Engineering Manager, SRE

The company is headquartered in NYC and offers hybrid NY-based positions. As a Senior Engineering Manager on the Betterment SRE team's Developer Experience squad, you'll collaborate closely with engineering teams across the company to empower developers with a collection of development tools, streamlined workflows, and fast and efficient feedback loops.

Requirements

• Expertise in software development toolchains and environments
• Experience with hands-on managing, mentoring, and inspiring a team of talented engineers
• Experience building important, high production-value software where quality and correctness matters while preserving a nimble, fluid, highly productive culture and workflow
• Experience leading execution of large team projects and execution of smaller concurrent projects in partnership with senior engineers
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and a curiosity for exploring how AI can enhance developer productivity and code quality
• A real passion for software engineering and improving the developer experience
• Experience collaborating with other engineering teams, product managers, subject matter experts, and non-technical stakeholders
