The Business Analyst is a commercially focused role responsible for developing, analyzing, and supporting pricing strategies that enable new business acquisition, contract expansions, and portfolio profitability. The role blends pricing analytics, market intelligence, and financial modeling to support competitive, data-driven commercial decisions.
Requirements
- Provide analytical support for strategic, tactical, and operational pricing initiatives
- Develop pricing models that assess cost drivers, margin requirements, volume assumptions, and risk factors
- Support solution design by evaluating commercial trade-offs between price, service levels, and profitability
- Provide recommendations to improve win rates while protecting margin and long-term financial performance
- Analyze historical performance, cost variances, and make-good results to refine pricing strategies
- Prepare financial analyses to support pricing decisions, including margin analysis, sensitivity analysis, financial reporting and scenario modeling
- Support forecasting activities by integrating pricing assumptions and commercial drivers
- Prepare internal management reports related to revenue, margin performance, and pricing effectiveness
- Support accounting cycle and month end reporting and variance analysis to forecast and plan
- Drive actionable insights through monthly variance analysis
- Provide intermediate analytical and transactional support related to pricing, revenue, contract performance and accounting cycle
- Maintain documentation to support audit requirements and internal controls related to pricing and financial data
- Work on cross-functional initiatives to optimize pricing, commercial, and analytical processes
- Identify inefficiencies, data gaps, and manual workarounds within pricing and financial workflows, and recommend scalable improvements
- Support the design and enhancement of pricing tools, templates, and governance frameworks to improve consistency and turnaround times
- Use financial and pricing systems, Excel models, and analytical tools to support commercial decision-making
- Understand and document data flows between operational, pricing, and financial systems
- Translate complex pricing and financial outputs into clear insights for non-finance stakeholders
- Prepare summaries, variance explanations, and recommendation memos for leadership review
