The Plumber is responsible for operating facility systems, performing preventative and corrective maintenance, routine services on facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systems for the assigned facility.

Requirements

• College Diploma/Certification
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a licensed Plumber
• Strong ability to adhere and to properly execute processes and practices relating to facility operations and maintenance
• Troubleshooting and resolution skills
• Current knowledge of fire, life, safety and building codes and standards
• Strong client-service orientation along with a high sense of urgency
• Effective communication skills
• Mentoring skills required to support lower level technicians development
• Ability to work shifts, be available for on-call/standby and emergency call-outs
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment
• Enhanced security clearance requirements
• Valid drivers’ license
• Journeyman level Plumbing license issued by the province in which the work is performed
