Job Description
The Senior Energy Engineer is responsible for the management and implementation of a portfolio-wide Energy Management Plan, working closely with various stakeholders to identify and prioritize energy-saving opportunities.
Requirements
- University degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer Designation
- 5 years' experience in energy management
- Project Management experience in energy retrofits or programs
- Conducting Measurement and Verification per IPMVP
- Economic analysis tools (Life-cycle cost analysis, ROI, NPV, payback)
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in report writing and MS Office applications
- Understanding of energy markets and utility rate structures
- Energy analytics
- Building operations and optimization
- Development of building conservation and demand management plans
- Conducting building energy assessment and energy efficiency measure development
- Ability to manage programs from concept inception to implementation
- Proficiency in excel and other Microsoft applications
- Strong written, oral, and presentation skills
