Project Engineer

Project Engineers will assist BIG Construction in managing and coordinating submittals, cost control, scheduling, reporting, and document control activities. This role involves protecting the interests of the company, and requires strong communication and interpersonal skills. Project Engineers will work with subcontractors and site supervisors.

Requirements

• Maintain all paperwork and planning for designated construction projects.
• Utilize software programs and templates to process, distribute, track and update to manage all project documentation.
• Estimate, value engineer and develop project Budgets with the support and direction from a Project Executive.
• Facilitate the subcontractor bid process to include processing, distribution and tracking of all project bidding documentation.
• Administer sketches, shop drawings, submittals, schedules and punch lists to subcontractors and site superintendent.
• Communicate and implement all procurement requirements on a timely basis.
• Develop and log all submittals.
• Review contract documents for compliance & submittal requirements.
• Prepare and follow up on RFI’s.
• Follow up on change orders.
• Attend site meetings.
• Administer close out process.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by identifying and exceeding client needs.
